Watson served his apprenticeship as a print finisher and has been involved in that field for 20 years, during which time he held posts as bindery manager, sales manager and plant and operations manager, working in the supply chain and for trade finishers.
He said: "In my most recent job I was general manager at a print finishing company but I was keen to get back in to equipment sales, which is an area I've enjoyed working in before." Watson continued: "I knew of the reputation of WRH Marketing in the newspaper sector and when I heard the company was looking for someone to head a new department, selling finishing equipment to the commercial sector, I was immediately interested.
Obviously, I wouldn't have taken the post if I hadn't thought that WRH Marketing's new Jobfolio range consisted of first class products and when I saw demonstrations of the equipment it was clear that these combined leading technology with a fresh approach to selling." He explained that the sales process of most finishing equipment is unnecessarily lengthy and complex, with additional meetings often taking place to negotiate discounts.

Ferag Mailroom System In Newspaper's New Plant

And Watson added: "The products within the Jobfolio range are extremely competitively priced and with a fixed price policy all costs to the end user are transparent.
I've spent many years on the purchasing side of the fence and to have installation costs totally clear from the beginning is a huge benefit.
This is very unusual in the sale of finishing systems." Marcus Evans, the managing director at WRH Marketing UK, said: "The launch of the Jobfolio range and the appointment of Nigel to spearhead sales to the commercial market have created a great buzz of excitement within the company.
Most people think of WRH Marketing UK as being a supplier solely to the newspaper sector but there are huge opportunities for us to utilise the skills, service facilities and knowledge that already exist within the company to extend our penetration of the commercial market following the success of the Ferag High Speed Unidrum technology.".
