Indian Wide Format And Screen Show Takes Off
The organiser of FESPA World Expo India 2005, in New Delhi from December 1-4 has reported a positive response from the marketplace since the launch of the exhibition.
Amongst the topics discussed at the meeting were FESPA's marketing and communications plan for the show and the various elements of the continuing promotional campaign.
This is aimed at maintaining the growth of technology areas in industrial, glass, ceramic applications, as well as continuing to attract visitors from certain growth geographical regions.
Jane Cedrone, marketing communications manager at wide format printer manufacturer Vutek, is enthusiastic about the latest initiative from FESPA's organisation team.
The company is a platinum sponsor of FESPA 2005 and steering group member.
Said Cedrone: "It's encouraging to know that there is a genuine commitment from FESPA to ensure the right kind of traffic visits FESPA 2005.
Vutek is targeting customers in several regions in particular and the organisers are actively focussing on these areas as part of the ongoing promotional campaign." Cedrone, who also holds a committee position for other industry exhibitions, welcomed the particular emphasis from FESPA to involve exhibitors in the development of the show.
"While, most exhibition organisers will operate a committee group of some form, the feeling here from the outset, was that our contribution and input is being listened to and is actually helping to shape the show," added Cedrone.
Tony Atkinson, European marketing communications manager at global inks supplier, Sericol, echoed those sentiments.
He explained: "Although other shows might tell exhibitors about the marketing opportunities available, this is the first time our opinion of such opportunities and ideas for others has been consulted. Request free introductory details about products from FESPA ...
We exhibit all over the world but have never before been asked to provide input that is then fed back into the organisational machine of the show itself.".
