FESPA Enlarges European Screenprinting Show
Because of demand, The Federation of European Screen Printing Associations (FESPA) has increased the amount of floor space at its 2005 exhibition, with a fourth hall at the Munich Exhibition Centre.

Frazer Chesterman, FESPA exhibitions director, commented: "The feedback gained from current FESPA exhibitors shows that today's pace of technological change warrants a more frequent, pan-European event that embraces the expanding range of digital printing applications.
Those include automotive, architectural, home furnishings, textiles, glass and ceramics, and sign and graphics.

FESPA has announced a new event for the Indian, Middle Eastern and Asian screen printing and wide format digital imaging markets, with the launch of FESPA World Expo - India 2005.
Indian Wide Format And Screen Show Takes Off
The organiser of FESPA World Expo India 2005, in New Delhi from December 1-4 has reported a positive response from the marketplace since the launch of the exhibition.
Until now, there hasn't been a proper forum available for those emerging technologies.
We are meeting that issue by delivering this specialised show.
FESPA is an established and recognised brand that is synonymous with delivering successful exhibitions over a number of years and our in-house organisation team has proven its capability in delivering a record breaking FESPA 2005 in Munich." Commenting on the choice of location, Chesterman added: "Selecting the right city was a key decision for us.
Amsterdam is an important European business hub, only one hour's flying time from major European capitals and easily reachable by car from many neighbouring countries.
Not only that, but it proved to be the top choice among the visitors and exhibitors when we carried out our initial research in June 2004.
The RAI Exhibition Centre has offered a great location for FESPA in the past and it is perfectly located within close proximity to the city of Amsterdam." Commenting on why FESPA has introduced a digital specific event, Chesterman said: "Given the constant improvements in inkjet and ink technology, a number of growing opportunities exist in new digital industrial applications.
It is those areas that extend the breadth and diversity of a printer's service offering and in turn, offer them greater commercial strength." FESPA Digital Printing Europe has the support of a number of current FESPA exhibitors.
Christian Duyckaerts of Belgium-based Print and Display believes that increasingly, printers need to be more technologically diverse in order to survive.
Duyckaerts said: "Many printers are now hybrid businesses, running both screen and digital equipment successfully alongside each other to enhance their overall service offering and respond more efficiently and effectively to customer needs." Max Linder of MACtac Europe, said that digital technology is advancing so quickly, that digital printers need to be kept informed of new developments in the industry and that FESPA's digital show will help fulfil that need.
Linder's comments are echoed by Herman Van de Haar of Epson, who added: "Digital is the future.
We need a separate show and are we interested in exhibiting at the RAI next May." Frazer Chesterman believes that the ability to pull in a guaranteed multi-regional audience is one of the key differentiators that FESPA has over other, more localised shows that often only cater for the domestic audience.
He added: "Because of the global respect of FESPA and its 5,000-strong membership, including the cream of screen printing worldwide, exhibitors find they get more 'bang for their buck' than they would at some of the smaller shows whose visitorship is both less extensive and diverse. Request a free brochure from FESPA ...
That is one of the main reasons that FESPA shows are increasingly so well attended by more and more major industry players.".
