FESPA Digital Printing Europe (RAI Exhibition Centre, Amsterdam, 16th-18th May 2006) has increased its floor space by more than 30%, with the addition of Hall 9.

FESPA Digital Printing Europe (RAI Exhibition Centre, Amsterdam, 16th-18th May 2006) has increased its floor space by more than 30%, with the addition of Hall 9.

Combined with the existing Hall 8, the total show area now stands at 16,250m2, half as large again as the digital hall at FESPA 2005 in Munich.

The expansion is FESPA's response to phenomenal levels of support from the exhibitor community.

Bookings to date already account for 90% of existing floor space, with recent confirmations from key industry players including Triangle, Oce, Mactac, Xaar, Sericol, Hexis, Dijireks, Roland and Luescher.

Exhibitions Director at FESPA, Frazer Chesterman commented: 'The speed of response from leading digital suppliers wanting to participate in FESPA Digital Printing Europe reinforces our conviction that the market is ready for a professionally-managed pan-European event that's dedicated to the opportunities which digital technology heralds, both for traditional screen printing operations and for digital service providers'.

The reaction from the international visitor community has been equally enthusiastic.

With more than seven months to go until the show, FESPA has already accepted 3000 online registrations from visitors from over 90 different countries, actively expressing their intention to attend the event in May 2006.

FESPA expects these levels of interest to increase still further when the full FESPA Digital Printing Europe Conference Programme is announced later this year.

Frazer Chesterman noted: 'Whether in the established fields of sign, graphics and POS production, or in emerging markets for digital output such as textiles, ceramics, glass, automotive and homewares, digital production and process innovations offer new paths to improved productivity and profitability.

'These outstanding levels of pre-registration indicate that, around the world, printers are embracing all available opportunities to inform, educate and motivate themselves to reap the potential of digital technology'.
