600 Companies On Show At FESPA 2007
Exhibition

FESPA 2007 is set to be the biggest on record, according to Frazer Chesterman, FESPA's exhibitions director.

FESPA 2007 is set to be the biggest on record, according to Frazer Chesterman, FESPA's exhibitions director Chesterman commented: "The exhibition continues to grow, in fact compared with FESPA 2005 this show is going to be bigger and better

With an unprecedented: number of over 600 exhibitors, 11 halls and stand space of 32,000 square metres.

I can't wait to open the doors on June 5." He continued: "Not only is it the pure size of the exhibition but the quality of the exhibitors - all of whom place a great amount of effort to make this the most important screen and digital printing show to attend across the world.

FESPA 2007 is also being used by many of the exhibitors as the event to launch their new products - making it a must attend event." Chesterman said that part of FESPA's success lies in the range of products and technology on show.

Using the analogy of a car show, he said that people would not bother going to a show where all they would see is one range from one manufacturer, for example the BMW 320s.

Visitors want to see the full range the industry has to offer, from coupes, four-wheel drive vehicles, diesel and automatic gear box and vehicles with different specifications, for instance.

He added: "You want to see the widest range and the newest models.

And that is why so many people come to FESPA." And Chesterman explained: "We are pleased this year to have the support of a number of colleagues, such as HP, Marabu, EFI Vutek and SAATI, and we recognise that all exhibitors who see our shows as a 'must' for their organisations help to make FESPA exhibitions a real success." The organisation pointed out that besides the exhibitors there are a number of additional features to help visitors make the most of attending.

On the show floor there will be two showcase theatres providing a number of educational seminars presented by experts of the industry on a range of topics, such as a digital debate, a print buyer forum and marketing skills for printers.

Chesterman commented that as an organisation, FESPA is expanding and it is pleased that this year, through some additional staff members, FESPA 2007 is now fully organised by the body's in-house exhibition team to provide the best service possible.

And he said that there have also been developments to FESPA as a federation, adding: "Part of our goal over the last two years has been to provide a comprehensive service to the industry through a number of projects.

By acquiring new staff and re-investing the profits from our exhibitions back in to the industry it has enabled us to provide educational facilities and services that benefit the market.

We are pleased to have launched our e-learning programme, which has been well received and it will be available in several languages by the end of this year." He added: "We are also producing a demonstrations folder showing the different effects that can be achieved using screen printing.

The folder, called 'Sensations', will be launched at FESPA 2007 and it will be distributed to a select number of printers and print buyers to help show the full potential of screen printing to produce inspirational and creative marketing in the face of a changing consumer market." FESPA said that some of the most prominent items around the show will include a new addition to the Rho family of flatbed inkjet printers, from Durst, the introduction of the Jeti 2030 UV true flatbed printer from Gandinnovations and the new Speedy 500 flatbed laser system from Trotec.
