For the first time in the exhibition's history, FESPA 2005 - to be held in Munich (Germany) next June - will include a series of free seminars and workshops.
The show also attracted 661 exhibitors.
Show visitors came from 125 countries, with 60 per cent of visitors from outside Germany and visitors from Italy, Poland, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Spain providing the strongest regions for attendance.
Visitors from Eastern European countries represented 12 per cent of the show's overall attendance.
FESPA said that visitors were able to experience new products and developing technologies at the show, indicating once again that the event presents manufacturers with a launch pad and route to market, enabling them to achieve maximum impact amongst their target audiences.
Exhibitors were impressed with the volume of traffic to their stands and with the international profile of visitors and decision-makers ready to make purchasing choices.
Frazer Chesterman, managing director of FESPA, commented: "We are thrilled with the success of FESPA 2007.
Feedback from exhibitors has been extremely positive with many beating ambitious sales targets early in the show and achieving double the number of sales initially expected by the time the show closed.
Visitors benefited from experiencing the industry's latest technology developments under one roof and took full advantage of the opportunity to attend a range of free showcase theatre seminars and debates, whilst convening with industry peers." He added: "The phenomenal footfall in Berlin underlines the value that FESPA provides to exhibitors and visitors. Request free introductory details about products from FESPA ...
That is borne out by the speed and enthusiasm with which exhibitors have responded to the release of floorplans for the FESPA Digital Printing Europe exhibition in Geneva from April 1 - 3 2008 and the next global FESPA event in Munich in 2010.".
