FESPA Makes European Digital Printing
Awards
A series of companies have been honoured to mark innovation and excellence in digital printing by FESPA in its Digital Print Awards - Europe 2007.
In only the second year of the awards, which are supported by HP, FESPA's programme has recognised printers that implement the latest ideas in digital printing for communication and decoration in existing and emerging application areas The independent jury under the chairmanship of Michel Caza, a board member of FESPA, elected a platinum pan-European winner in each of the seven categories and a gold, silver and bronze winner for each of the eight regions (irrespective of the category in which they were entered)

Top Speakers Line Up For FESPA 2005 Show
For the first time in the exhibition's history, FESPA 2005 - to be held in Munich (Germany) next June - will include a series of free seminars and workshops.
The pan-European platinum category winners in the commercial sector were Atelier Spektrum of Prague (Czech Republic) for vehicle applications, Leach Colour of Huddersfield (UK) for interior work, Atelier Spektrum, also of Prague in exterior applications and Ergosoft of Altnau (Switzerland) for decor print work.
In the industrial sector, for packaging, the winner was Rako Etiketten from Witzhave (Denmark), whilst in textile print, Ergosoft secured another award, whilst in manufactured goods the winner was Chimigraf Iberica in Barcelona (Spain).
The winners in eight European regions, presented with gold, silver and bronze awards, included companies from the UK and Republic of Ireland, Germany and Austria, Italy, Turkey and Greece, as well as Spain and Portugal.

Indian Wide Format And Screen Show Takes Off
The organiser of FESPA World Expo India 2005, in New Delhi from December 1-4 has reported a positive response from the marketplace since the launch of the exhibition.
Other regions featured were Benelux, the Nordic countries, eastern Europe and France and Switzerland.
Michel Caza commented: "The new programme, with its broad spread of categories provides a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas across industry segments and national borders.
It will doubtlessly form a point of reference for assessing general trends in the digital arena - of considerable interest to printers, industry suppliers and end-users alike." And he continued: "The open format of the awards shows the willingness of HP to support the whole digital printing industry and its customers." Agustin Comadran, HP's EMEA large format printing marketing manager, added: "HP is eager to commend and encourage innovation and excellence in digital printing.
