CDR Pigments and Dispersions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Flint Ink Corporation, has announced that Craig Foster has assumed the position of vice president, general manager of the company.

Foster's promotion is part of Flint Ink's formal succession planning process, with the expectation that Foster will assume the role of president of CDR Pigments and Dispersions at the end of this year, when current President W Rucker Wickline retires, said Flint Ink.

In his new capacity, Foster will be responsible for all of the company's manufacturing and technical operations.

Wickline will continue to direct CDR's sales and financial activities.

Foster has been employed with the company for more 10 years, and is credited with establishing Flint Ink's Arrowhead Trading Company in Asia.

His previous experience includes time in the US Navy's nuclear submarine and mobile construction programmes.

Most recently, he held the position of vice president and general manager of global sourcing for CDR.

CDR Pigments and Dispersions is a manufacturer of colourants and varnish for ink, plastic and paint applications.

A supplier to more than 50 ink manufacturers, CDR also provides colour technology to non-ink markets.

Major products include flushed colours, dry pigments, presscake and alkyds.

Founded in 1980 by Flint Ink Corporation, CDR has nearly 500 employees in four locations.
