Flint Group's North America Publication Division has announced price increases for all publication inks with effective from July 15.

Flint Group's North America Publication Division has announced price increases for all publication inks with effective from July 15.

The price increases range from eight per cent to 12 per cent, depending on product type.

The increases are necessary to offset the continuing escalation of raw materials, energy and freight costs, said Flint.

Mike Green, vice president and general manager of Flint Group North America Publication Division, said: "We have taken extraordinary measures to reduce costs within our manufacturing and delivery operations and to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products to our customers.

Since October 1, 2005, however, the North America Publication Division has received over 80 raw material price increases from our global supply base of approximately 30 key suppliers." Green emphasised that Flint Group continues to be committed to providing high-quality products and services to meet customer needs within the publication ink market.

Flint Group representatives will be contacting all customers in the coming weeks to discuss the price increases in detail.
