Fuji Photo Film (UK) has launched the FLP-126 MKII processor designed to improve the quality and consistency of violet plate production.

It is also claimed to reduce chemistry and water usageand features a number of enhancements that support the launch of the Brillia High Definition violet plate, Brillia LP-NV2, with the combination designed to improve the ease with which plate production can be achieved, and reduce the impact on the environment.

The FLP-126 MKII processor features an improved replenishment system, which monitors and changes the replenishment rate depending on the size of the plate.

That is said to enable more consistent plate development with the additional benefit of reducing replenisher usage, thereby reducing costs and benefiting the environment.

The wash water is also more accurately controlled, enabling a reduction in water usage, said Fuji.

The FLP-126 MKII also features a re-designed plate path and scrub brush section.

The improvements ensure more stable and consistent plate development, particularly when multiple plate sizes are being used, added the company.

The Brillia LP-NV2 High Definition violet plate and FLP-126 MKII processor system is said to suitable for applications involving the use of more demanding FM and hybrid screening algorithms that are difficult to print on-press.
