High Capacity Thermal Printers Meet
Various Needs

Fujitsu Components Europe B.V.

Fujitsu Components Europe B.V has introduced more features and print capabilities for its high-capacity thermal printer assembly for use in various self-service, informational and transaction kiosks

The new FTP-639USL002 comes standard with an integrated three-inch thermal print mechanism, an auto guillotine cutter, a miniature high-speed serial and a USB controller board.

Fujitsu has implemented a retractor that is claimed to handle unlimited receipt lengths.

Designed to accommodate various mounting schemes, the printer measures a 136.5mm(W) x 165mm (D) x 155mm (H) and weighs 1.2kg.

A partial tilt function allows mounting flexibility and the die-cast metal frame provides durability and mounting stability, as well as ESD protection and heat dissipation or retention.

The printer can produce a variety of data, graphics and characters, 2D and 3-D bar codes, at speeds of 200mm per second with eight lines per millimetre resolution, claimed Fujitsu.

It accommodates paper or tickets and labels ranging from 60 microns to 120 microns thick, and 80mm wide.

A standard paper spool supports five-inch diameter paper rolls and up to 10-inch rolls when fitted with an extender.

The printer offers some standard features such as auto-loading, paper near-end, paper out, open platen, and possible system error conditions.

The FTP-639USL002 printer series is aimed at public transport ticketing, tollgate ticketing, and industrial record keeping, POS-, ECR-, CAT and ATM printing. Request a free brochure from Fujitsu Components Europe ...
