Finat's YMC develops Indian programme

A FINAT product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jul 15, 2009

Finat's Young Managers' Club (YMC) has developed separate programmes for Indian and European members, as a result of enormous interest in the scheme from the Asian country.

The YMC, created at Finat's congress in Paris last year, aims to attract young label-printing managers to help prepare them to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Francesc Egea, founding chairman of YMC and assistant general manager of Spain's Innovaciones Para Etiquetajes, said: 'While the two centres will be following a broadly similar programme, some parts of it could be amended to suit local conditions and the needs of those members.

'When we are holding combined conferences it will be very convenient to have points of contact in both areas.

'It should be good for the success of the club because, first, it will encourage a competitive spirit between both sections, and secondly, it will fuel more ideas for the future activity of the organisation.

Peter Dhondt, of CERM in Belgium, will organise the club's programme in Europe, while Pawan Deep Sahni, of Weldon Celloplast in Haryana, India will undertake those activities in the Asian area.

Joining Egea on the YMC board will be Nicola Motetta, of Euroadhesiv, Italy as vice-chairman, and Bibiana Rodriguez, of Rotatek, Spain in charge of promotion and membership development.
