Spectrophotometer for accurate colour measurement

Four Pees has released the Printfactory Spectro LFP, an easy-to-use and automated spectrophotometer designed to deliver accurate and productive colour management for large-format printing.

Printfactory Spectro LFP combines the advantages of Barbieri's Spectro LFP spectrophotometer and Printfactory, a complete solution that covers all aspects of large-format production from file preparation to output and finishing.

The Printfactory Spectro LFP, a spectrophotometer for colour measurements in digital large format offers accurate measurements of transparent and reflective media, thick and heavy media.

Other benefits include its big measuring aperture and fully automatic measurements.

Especially for new application fields such as printing on textile, but basically any application that uses coarse screening, the larger aperture of 8mm is fundamental to gain the maximum measuring accuracy.

Combined with the special measuring geometry and the fully automatic measurements, Four Pees said it is the ideal device for this application.

For high-resolution prints, the smaller apertures are preferred.

The polarisation filter allows measuring of materials with shining surfaces or ink.

For easy mounting of most different, thin reflective media (including textiles and fabrics) a special electrostatic sample holder is available, enabling charts to be placed and fixed easily and quickly.

The Printfactory Calibrator, in combination with the Printfactory Spectro LFP, makes profile creation easy, according to Four Pees.

A wizard-based interface guides its users through the process aligning different printers or different media.

Large-format production companies can now benefit from the advantages of creating customised profiles such as more accurate and vibrant colour and lower ink consumption.
