If you cannot offer what the customer wants, the work quickly goes elsewhere.
Customers also want quality work and the Tauler doesn't disappoint in this respect.
Laminating quality is excellent, even when its throughput is as quick as the melting of the glue allows.
It certainly provides very good value for money." An added advantage of dealing with Friedheim, according to Paul Dunn, was the fact that the also supplies the thermal laminating film.
He said: "Friedheim stocks a large range of sizes, which can be delivered next day and if necessary the company is also able to source and deliver other less popular sizes, which makes things much easier when operating on a rapid turn-around basis." And Dunn continued: "With our existing D+K laminating machine coming to the end of its useful life, we needed a suitable replacement.
The Tauler Printlam was perfect, being both compact and versatile.
We also liked the idea of it being supplied by Friedheim, a company we had previously dealt with very successfully." Formed in 1998, Dedicated Die Cutting has just moved in to larger, 5,000 square foot premises in Edmonton, north Londonn (UK).
Operating a double-day shift six days a week, the company concentrates on trade finishing, with a speciality being laminated pocket folders.
Paul Dunn added: "Almost every printer in London has come to us at some time or other as we're very flexible in what print runs we can handle, although if we have a preference it is for smaller runs." Dunn's knowledge of Friedheim stems from already possessing two Schneider guillotines, an MBO and Herzog + Heymann folding machines.
Other equipment on-site includes die-cutting, folding-gluing and additional cutting facilities.
