Freeprintmanagement.com is a new self-service print management tool developed by Bicester-based Webmart.

Freeprintmanagement.com is a new self-service print management tool developed by Bicester-based Webmart The print management system was developed in conjunction with UK supermarket retailer Tesco and print industry trade body The British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF)

Webmart managing director, Simon Biltcliffe, said: "Freeprintmanagement builds on the GBP2.8 billion (US$5.5 billion) of print estimates that our in-house software has already calculated and the 11,788 projects that we have print managed over the last eight years.

This is a 'lite' version for the wider marketplace and for free." And he explained: "Having sunk millions of pounds in to the development of the full system, this can be seen as 'Print Management 2.0'- the low-cost, self-service evolution of print management - but with full print management if and when it is needed." BPIF chief executive, Michael Johnson, said: "This is a revolution in the print marketplace rather than an evolution.

It offers printers a level playing field and a new free sales channel for their services." With the service BPIF members get free benchmarking tools on the soon-to-be launched Freeprintsales.com sister site added Biltcliffe.
