Galloways, a commercial and packaging printer based in Poynton, Cheshire (UK) has seen its commercial work increase by 50 per cent since installing a complete Fujifilm violet CTP and workflow system.
It is Classic Printers' first move to CTP to increase productivity and improve quality.
The Fuji violet CTP has immediately led to a 30 per cent increase in productivity for the company and cut wastage by 50 per cent, said Fujifilm.
One of the reasons Classic Printers chose Fuji Open Workflow was because its open nature meant it could handle files for both digital and litho presses.
It is also driving the Fuji-Epson 7600 proofing device using Fuji Open Workflow's RIP once, output many feature.
Classic Printers has already seen a difference in the proofs it outputs as has its customers, who have commented on the increased quality and reliability of its proofs.
The time savings and improved operations has allowed the company to streamline its workforce, enabling more of its staff's time to be allocated to different areas of the business.
Phillip Green, production director at Classic Printers, commented: "Within 24 hours of the system being installed it was up and running with very little downtime for us.
We've found the press registration and quality of the image on the plate is perfect and the number of overs required to get a job up and running is significantly reduced.
The Fuji Brillia LP-NV plates have an impressive on-press run length and the inking up is excellent - it is very easy to get a good water balance." He continued: "We have been really pleased with the Fuji CTP.
The Fujifilm staff was absolutely brilliant and the support we had, together with the response times for queries was second to none.
We couldn't have asked for anything else.".
