Fujifilm Graphic Systems has extended JDF support in its Open Workflow system, in response to the increased demand from customers embracing the JDF (Job Definition Format) specification.
Fujifilm Graphic Systems has extended JDF support in its Open Workflow system, in response to the increased demand from customers embracing the JDF (Job Definition Format) specification.
Following partnerships developed with a number of MIS suppliers, including Shuttleworth, Graphisoft and Hiflex, Fuji's Open Workflow now accepts JDFs containing all customer and job information from the MIS system using Pathway - the Job Management module.
After the job has been processd, Open Workflow automatically updates the MIS system with status and media usage information using JMF (Job Messaging Format).
Continuing to build on its open nature, Open Workflow now also offers JDF support for both Impostrip and Signastation imposition packages, further increasing choice or improving the return on investment for customers, said Fujifilm.
