Fujifilm Graphic Systems has installed a Luxel V-6 B2 violet CTP platesetter and Fuji Open Workflow for Thomson Print and Packaging, a label and packaging printer based in Edinburgh.

Fujifilm Graphic Systems has installed a Luxel V-6 B2 violet CTP platesetter and Fuji Open Workflow for Thomson Print and Packaging, a label and packaging printer based in Edinburgh Jim Thomson, managing director of Thomson Print and Packaging, said: "The new Fujifilm products have brought increased benefits including a sharper print quality and a faster plate turn-around

We have been particularly impressed with the ease of use and speed of the Fuji solution." It is Thomson Print and Packaging's first foray in to CTP.

The company decided to choose Fuji's violet CTP system, as it was impressed with the number of installations Fuji has in the UK and the cost of ownership of the violet CTP system combined with the environmental savings that the Fuji products offer.

Established in 1998, Thomson Print and Packaging prints work for Ian MacLeod Distillers and wine and spirit merchant William Cadenhead.

Fuji was chosen as the preferred supplier following recommendations from another local printer.
