Midland News Association (MNA) is gearing up its move to full digital workflow with Fujifilm's Brillia CTP plates The LP-NN2 polymer plates will roll out regional papers including the Wolverhampton Express and Star, which sells more than 170,000 issues

The exclusive five-year deal will see plates output on the G2 Western Lithotech DiamondSetter platesetter, which boasts 250 plates an hour.

Fujifilm has also installed two Haase OE53 high-speed plate processors at MNA's West Bromwich site in an installation that is claimed to be the first in the world for such systems.

The firm worked with Fujifilm for eight years before signing the deal and says the plates save ink at Wolverhampton and would similarly do so at West Bromwich.
