New CTP And Workflow Help Win 50% Business Boost
Galloways, a commercial and packaging printer based in Poynton, Cheshire (UK) has seen its commercial work increase by 50 per cent since installing a complete Fujifilm violet CTP and workflow system.
It has just purchased a new VSOP press from Drent Goebel and supplies high definition graphics on barrier packaging.
It chose to install the Fuji platesetter to improve quality, but also to reduce its environmental impact, said the company.
Mark Bevan, managing director at Triflex Productions, commented: "We are conscious of the pressure to reduce the cost to the environment.
UV is a method we adopted at inception as the preferred method of printing to eliminate carbon emissions associated with conventional solvent-based printing.
The investment in the Fuji plate and CTP system is an extension of this policy." And he added: "We chose the Fujifilm platesetter because it uses low energy lasers and still offers high productivity, whilst the system is environmentally cleaner than others." He explained that with the Fuji plate exposure, the reproduction is outstanding with high output and consistent dot formation.
It is also very reliable.
He also felt that by choosing Fuji's product, Triflex would have a future path to further reducing waste with the Brillia HD PRO-V chemistry-free plate when it becomes available next year.
Triflex Productions was established in 2003 and has 25 employees.
