Fujifilm continues to expand its range of fine art inkjet media for large-format printing applications with the launch of two new paper sizes for Museum Baryte and Artist Canvas.

Fujifilm continues to expand its range of fine art inkjet media for large-format printing applications with the launch of two new paper sizes for Museum Baryte and Artist Canvas.

Said to be offering a digital alternative for fibre-based silver halide prints, Fujifilm's Baryte 300g media is based on traditional baryte type paper for black and white, or sepia-toned images, thanks to its high density rating (d-max).

The semi-gloss paper is now being offered for the first time in cut sheets in both A3+ and A2, providing even more flexibility of use for those looking for media suitable for reproduction or original imaging with outstanding colour and sharpness, it is claimed.

Fujifilm is also introducing a new 36-inch roll size for its 340gsm Artist Canvas.

Made from 100 per cent pure cotton, the media is claimed to look and feel like traditional artist canvas with the convenience, stability and ease of handling of the highest quality paper.

Offering full depth colour, detail and vibrancy, Artist Canvas is a suitable medium for original paintings and reproductions, added the company.

Peter Hayward at Fujifilm said: "Our fine art media has been developed to provide quality products for a whole host of applications ranging from exhibition work and special effect portraiture through to fine art prints and, as such, is hugely popular among artists, design businesses and photographers.

By extending the choice of sizes available, we aim to provide even greater flexibility of output for specialist applications such as Giclee prints, as well as standard photo prints.".
