New CTP And Workflow Help Win 50% Business Boost
Galloways, a commercial and packaging printer based in Poynton, Cheshire (UK) has seen its commercial work increase by 50 per cent since installing a complete Fujifilm violet CTP and workflow system.
Available in manual, semi-automatic and automatic configurations, it is complemented by Fuji's Brillia LP-NV violet photopolymer CTP plates.
Brillia LP-NV violet plates use Fuji's multigrain technology to achieve reduced plate making times and have a consistent high quality print, said the company.
Andrew Kear, pre-press manager of GB leaflets, a subdivision of Field Boxmore, said: "We decided on Fuji's violet CTP technology for its high speed as well as its capacity.
Also, we are a highly environmentally conscious company with ISO 14001 accreditation and using the Fuji technology means using less chemistry.
Additionally, we have found Fuji plates to be of a very high quality.
They are suitable for use with UV inks and can easily handle our longest run lengths of over 100,000 impressions." He continued: "As well as having a powerful system with Fuji's hardware and plates, we have been impressed with Fuji's customer service.
The installation and technical support services have been very good and we have benefited from a number of bespoke requirements during the installation process." Field Boxmore was formed in 2000 from the acquisition of Field Group and the Boxmore Group by the Chesapeake Corporation, a US packaging group.
Currently there are 170 employees at the Tewkesbury and Greenford sites.
Both of its UK sites produce patient information leaflets for prescription-only medicines and branded over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products.
