Fujifilm's Brillia HD Pro-T plate for processless CTP is being used by Hertfordshire (UK) B1 printer, Inc, is making the company's repro department more efficient by accelerating performance.

Inc prints a range of report and accounts, brochures, folders, posters and leaflets for a mixture of clients that range from design agencies, marketing agencies, print management firms and local businesses.

The company said it has been particularly impressed with the sharpness and quality of the dot on the plate and the robustness of the plate in general.

Roy Dawkins, Inc's managing director, said: "We wanted to move to processless for speed and environmental reasons and we looked at all the plates available on the market.

Although we weren't previously a Fuji customer, the Pro-T plate offered us the best productivity, environmental performance and quality." He added: "Compared to the set-up we previously had with CTF, the speed and productivity is incredible.

We have doubled the amount we can output in the same time as before." The Brillia HD Pro-T plate has enabled the company to streamline its entire repro department and the company is noticing real differences in repeat jobs.

For example, a brochure that it produces on a quarterly basis, which used to take two days to complete, is now finished in four hours, whilst overall, Inc's make-ready times have been reduced by about 50 per cent.

The installation of the Brillia HD Pro-T plate for processless CTP is the first stage in a number of upgrades that will be taking place within Inc this year.

The latest development will be followed by the installation of another Heidelberg 102 Speedmaster six-colour CD press.

The Fuji Brillia HD Pro-T plate was supplied by Service Offset Supplies Loughton and it is outputting on a Screen Platerite 8300E.

Inc was established in 2003 and employs 20 people.
