Fujifilm USA is merging the wide format inkjet business unit of Fujifilm Hunt Chemicals USA in to Fujifilm USA's Imaging Division.

The move will become effective on April 1 The company said that customers will benefit from the convenience of a single point of order for all imaging hardware and supplies, including wide format inkjet products

Fujifilm's wide format inkjet range consists of 250 products, such as inks, papers and printer hardware from Epson, as well as Fujifilm branded substrates.

Also included is the Epson-Fujifilm Stylus Pro 7880 wide format inkjet printer, which is claimed to be capable of being integrated with any Fujifilm Frontier system to create poster prints and other large format products.

John Placko, senior product manager for wide format inkjet products with the Fujifilm USA Imaging Division, commented: "Many of our customers are currently expanding their Frontier systems to generate revenue from a wide range of products beyond traditional 4" x 6" prints.

Today's announcement underlines our commitment to meeting the varied needs of these customers in today's changing imaging marketplace." He added: "Our new, simplified ordering process saves valuable time and directly enables customers to focus on providing their market with stunning, Frontier-quality prints in a wide range of sizes.".
