Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team May 29, 2008

The integration between offset and digital printing will be demonstrated by Fujifilm at Drupa 2008 from today, together with a range of new printing concepts, technologies, products and services.

Exhibiting for the first time in the show's Digital Printing Zone, Fujifilm said it will show printers how to maximise quality and business efficiency, whether with digital plates, digital workflow or digital presses, whilst also minimising the impact on the environment.

Fujifilm's stand at Drupa 2008 - stand A25 in hall 8B - is divided in to several different zones.

For wide format inkjet printing the company said it is introducing new technology and a range of wide format inkjet systems, including the Acuity flatbed UV printer, which uses Fujifilm Sericol's ink.

In the area of workflow and colour management, the company added that it will demonstrate how its workflow and colour management products, including the C-fit, can help bring a higher level of control to complex print operations producing work for multiple output devices.

The company will also debut a suite of digital printing systems during Drupa 2008, combining Xerox hardware with Fujifilm's workflow and colour management technology to provide a package for printers looking for a digital partner.

In offset printing Fujifilm is highlighting how the company's range of CTP plates, including the processless thermal plate and the new chemistry-free violet plate, can improve the quality, productivity and environmental performance of a printer's business.

Todd Zimmerman, vice president of field sales for Fujifilm Graphic Systems USA, said: "We will show our capabilities in the digital arena, as well as in the traditional pre-press area.

We are one of the few companies that has experience in offset printing, as well as in emerging digital technologies, which gives us the unique ability to aid our customers in the integration of those new technologies in to their existing businesses." Nobuaki Inoue, general manager of the graphic systems division of Fujifilm Corporation, added: "In this new era of digitisation we believe that we are in the best possible position to help printers integrate digital technologies in to their businesses.

We have an exciting range of pre-press, pressroom, inkjet and digital printing systems and a support infrastructure that is second to none.".
