The new Brillia LP-NNW CTP plate is said to have been developed for the newspaper market by Fujifilm.

Designed to work with platesetters with a lower laser power, the plate is manufactured in Tilburg.

Fujifilm said that the LP-NNW plate is a sensitive plate that provides run lengths of up to 200,000 impressions.

It is a dedicated high-speed photopolymer plate for violet laser diodes and uses a coating that reduces platesetter production time to prolong its working life.

The company added that the plate has superior dot reproduction, with less dot gain making adjustment of the calibration curve easier, guaranteeing consistent printing quality and a sharp dot from highlight to shadow areas throughout print runs.

The plate's exposure latitude also provides a stable dot on press.

The Brillia LP-NNW CTP newspaper plate is said to operate under bright yellow safelight and it is compatible with UV ink.

It uses Fujifilm's Multigrain to optimise the ink and water balance and its developer life means less frequent cleaning, reducing overall maintenance costs.
