Excellight film designed for display production

A Fujifilm Graphic Systems product story

Excellight, a film designed for the production of backlit and reflective displays, has been launched in the UK by Fujifilm.

The film is claimed to provide vibrant results in daylight (reflective) and night (backlit) modes, making energy savings possible in daytime use.

Fujifilm believes that Excellight enables users to achieve high-quality photographic image reproduction and is flexible in its use.

With one medium, users can achieve results with both solvent-based or UV-C inks.

It also offers heat and humidity resistance and its PET film base is more environmentally friendly than PVC alternatives.

Also, when using Excellight, there is no need for mirror printing on the back for night images, reducing ink usage.

The film also offers a higher density for printing using the same amount of ink.

Excellight film is said to be designed to perform when used with Fujifilm's Sericol inks on Inca or Fujifilm inkjet presses, but it is also suitable for use with most common UV and solvent inks from other manufacturers.

It is available in two thicknesses, 175mm and 225mm, and in multiple widths including 36in, 42in, 50in and 54in sizes.
