Own Branded Wide Format Inkjet For Media Supplier

Having already established a major presence in the inkjet printing sector with its media, colour management and workflow systems and its distribution of large format printers and RIPs, Fuji Hunt now has its own branded wide format printer - the Envirojet.

The Envirojet has what the company described as the most environmentally conscious approach to inkjet printing on the market.

Although compatible with all inkjet media, the Envirojet printers is said to have been developed to bring out the best in a new range of Envirojet media - both coated and uncoated, including vinyls and canvas - as well as inks.

Due to its use of specially developed solvent inks and the system's clarity on small detail it can be used for indoor and outdoor applications but is particularly geared to producing outdoor material - signage, banners, hoardings and vehicle livery, for instance.

The eco-solvent ink system is said to overcome such problems as unpleasant odours and the need for additional filtering to handle the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

It is claimed that no special equipment for ventilation is required with the Envirojet and no strong odours are emitted.

Utilising Fuji Hunt's own RIPs and ICC profiles, the printer's piezo-electric heads offer the choice of printing at 360 dots per inch (dpi), 720dpi and 1,440dpi according to user requirement.

The Envirojet is available in three width sizes: 50" (1,270mm), 64" (1,626mm), and 87" (2,210mm).
