The coming together of two of the digital imaging industry's major companies to harness their combined strengths heralds what is claimed as a leap forward in large format printing.

The coming together of two of the digital imaging industry's major companies to harness their combined strengths heralds what is claimed as a leap forward in progressing the development of the large format printing market Arising from the company's strategic partnership with Adobe, Fuji Hunt Digital Solutions has embarked on an autumn promotion that provides a raft of benefits to any print service provider (PSP) who buys a Fujifilm Epson Stylus Pro large format printer and Fuji Hunt Greenbox system

First among the benefits is a 50 per cent reduction off the price of a year's membership of the Adobe Service Network (ASN) which normally costs GBP330.

The offer is valid on all purchases of a Fuji Hunt Greenbox Bundle made before 31 December this year and is restricted to the UK, Ireland and mainland Western Europe.

Membership of the ASN provides priority queuing for Adobe technical support, monthly technical and marketing newsletters, free listing on the Adobe and Fuji Hunt websites to promote the user's services, and permission to use the Adobe Authorised Print Services Provider logo on all stationery and marketing items to further enhance the business's credibility and status, said Fuji Hunt.

ASN membership includes free electronic download of the entire Adobe Creative Suite2 Premium edition, which includes Photoshop CS2, Illustrator CS2, Golive CS2, Acrobat 7 Professional and Indesign CS2, for either PC or Mac, worth GBP1,790.

That is in addition to the benefits derived directly from being a Fuji Hunt Greenbox user, which include free upgrades to Adobe Photoshop CS2 software (for those who do not already meet the criteria for the PSP programme), together with access to the latest Imagehunter Enhanced Print System, and Colorhunter monitor calibration and profiling software.

The offer is not just for new buyers of the Fujifilm Epson Stylus Pro printer and Greenbox bundle, as existing current customers can also qualify for all the benefits by being an accredited PSP.

A PSP is any outlet or business, other than a photographer or artist who only prints his or her own work, which offers printing services to the public, to photographers, or to other companies.

PSP accreditation applies to many types of outlets, including wholesale photofinishers, professional photographic laboratories, minilabs, retail photographic shops, digital bureaux, designers providing prints to clients, pre-press shops, fast print and copy shops and printers.

The promotion also provides access for all participants to Adobe training courses at special prices.

The courses demonstrate how to use Photoshop and to integrate it with other Creative Suite software being provided.

Full details of the courses can be found at the Fuji Hunt website.

The deals are exclusive to Fuji Hunt Digital Solutions, and represent one aspect of the close working relationship which the company has formed with Adobe, it said.

The two companies have a long-standing history of mutual development and cooperation, especially in such areas as colour management and development, with each recognising the other's strengths and combining them to create a powerful force in the world of digital imaging.

An example of the joint endeavours of Fuji Hunt Digital Solutions and Adobe has been their collaboration with GretagMacbeth to stage the Colour Correction Tour travelling throughout Europe during November.

Details of the tour, which presents a series of seminars to assist users in making the most of Adobe Photoshop CS2, can also be found on the Fuji Hunt Digital Solutions website.
