The latest Apple Mac OS X pre-press workflow systems from Fusion Systems will be seen at the America East Newspaper Conference, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

DigiPage SP Workflow Is Open For Customisation
Fusion Systems International has announced a breakthrough in flexibility and functionality for its DigiPage workflow.
The Workflow ESP software suite is claimed to simplify the implementation of an automated workflow for internally-generated publications and client-supplied commercial work.
Logan Herbert, the director of business development at Fusion Systems International, commented: "New, advanced, open, scriptible processing features make it very easy to automate a broad range of pre-press tasks." Workflow ESP is also claimed to simplify the migration to CTP imaging, whilst providing production personnel the tools and features they need to eliminate waste, reduce errors, improve performance and dramatically improve print quality, said the company.
Also to be demonstrated at the conference will be what are described as press-accurate soft proofing and inkjet proofing, as well as remote proofing, for every page processed early in the production cycle.
Fusion Systems International said that because of its Digipage technology that is built in to the core of the workflow, jobs are RIPped once to provide the workflow with the proof and one-bit TIFF separations for each process colour in the job.
Workflow ESP products are available on Apple Mac OS X and are scheduled for release on Microsoft Windows in first quarter of this year.
