New Xerox Digital Machines Make Mark In Australia
Ranging from short-run brochures and booklets, through to transactional invoices and bills, the newly-launched Xerox 4590 and 4110 printing systems open-up new production printing opportunities.
The Docutech 6180 Powerplus is the next-generation in mid-range digital production systems for books, manuals or stitched and perfect-bound booklets - as well as hybrid promotional transactional documents, said Fuji Xerox.
Increasing productivity and reducing costs, the Docutech 6180 Powerplus has automated mixed insertion of mono and colour pages, large format and lightweight paper printing and integrated workflow processes.
Chris Aked, production printing systems marketing manager for the production services business group at Fuji Xerox, said: "For over 10 years, Fuji Xerox has been committed to the research and development of on-demand publishing.

Digital Print System Handles Complex Workflows
Building on more than a decade of mono digital printing, Fuji Xerox has introduced what it has claimed to be the fastest, most productive engine in its Nuvera range.
Our customers want unshakeable confidence in the uptime, efficiency and flexibility of their printing systems.
The Docutech 6180 Powerplus has been developed to meet ever-evolving publishing needs and to respond to shrinking deadlines faced by in-plant, commercial and retail print centres." The Docutech's latest server software, Xerox DocuSP version 5.0 is claimed to assist in the delivery of new, value-added services, such as personalised communications.
Helping to streamline operations, reduce resources, lower overhead costs and enable new, high-value applications (such as personalised printing), Fuji Xerox said that its digital workflow collection, Freeflow, can be integrated with the Docutech.
Freeflow Makeready, Web Services and Process Maker integrate and connect workflow processes to simplify the input, management, supervision and fulfilment of jobs, added Fuji Xerox.
Running up to a claimed 180 A4 impressions per minute, the Docutech 6180 has the feeding capacity to keep up with any level of demand.
Its modularity facilitates printing on different substrates from multiple pick points, added the company.
The Powerplus options - available with the purchase of a new Docutech 6180 - are said to provide advanced stock handling and feeding capabilities and include a three-tray interposer, large format paper printing (up to 364mm x 470 mm) or lightweight paper printing that can cut mailing costs by up to 45 per cent, it is claimed.
Concluded Aked: "Focusing on the creation of dynamic, new, profit-making applications for our customers, Fuji Xerox is committed to the continued enhancement of digital printing systems across all levels.
The Powerplus Series represents the most reliable option in mid-range monochrome printing, where short runs, quick turn-around, variable information and offset quality are vital.".
