A Fuji Xerox Australia product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jun 5, 2007

Australasian printer Blue Star Print Group will strengthen its commercial and direct mail printing operations with two Fuji Xerox iGen3 digital presses, expanding its digital colour production.

Described as one of the largest and most diverse print and related services providers in Australia and New Zealand, Blue Star will instal the Fuji Xerox system in its Sydney and Melbourne operations.

Kim Lykissas, general manager of Kings Mailing Services, said: "As current users of Fuji Xerox's technology we already have a good understanding of the company's capabilities and existing workflow systems.

After a detailed review we decided on the iGen3 as providing the best mix of workflow, quality and speed required for our continued expansion in to the colour market, as well as providing us with leading web-to-print and personalisation software for variable data printing." Lykissas said the new installations would play to the Blue Star strengths in the commercial print and direct mailing markets.

He added: "Printers traditionally buy colour digital technology to produce small run colour work.

Some mail houses install full colour digital print devices but, traditionally, do not have the experience in colour printing.

However, as Blue Star offers commercial printing and mailing print services, with the Fuji Xerox iGen3s we are in a unique position in the Australian marketplace to fulfil clients' digital colour needs across both markets." Lykissas said Blue Star beleives its alignment with Fuji Xerox Australia adds great value from a strategic perspective and he explained: "Fuji Xerox is a company with excellent initiatives, business support and technical expertise.

I am delighted we are strengthening our relationship.

Both Blue Star and Fuji Xerox are market leaders in their respective fields and this announcement reinforces our position." Nick Kugenthiran, general manager of Fuji Xerox Australia's integrated sales and marketing division, said the installation demonstrates how Fuji Xerox seeks to collaborate with its customers in developing new markets.

He commented: "The installation of the two iGen3s boost Blue Star's print and mailing services across its Sydney and Melbourne markets.

We are delighted to be able to assist the organisation in the continuing development of its digital print strategy, now and in to the future.".
