Four new print engines from Fuji Xerox are the first developments in a new push in to colour printing with print-for-pay and inplant printing operations.

They are said to be suitable for companies looking to enter the digital colour production market, whilst workflow enhancements create additional job flexibility and efficiency to Fuji Xerox's new digital colour systems These developments follow the earlier announcement of the Docucolor 6075 II Pro colour printer-copier, a system that is claimed to make high image quality accessible at an affordable price

The Docucolor's productivity is boosted by up to 20 per cent over the Docucolor 5065, extending the colour print speed up to a claimed 60 pages per minute (ppm).

Fuji Xerox has also announced the introduction of the the Xerox Docucolor 252 and Docucolor 5065 II, with the same image output and speed as the previous Docucolor model, but with expanded finishing options and an enhanced user interface.

The 60ppm colour and 75ppm mono Docucolor 6075 II and 6075 II ProO systems are said to be faster than other Xerox light production systems and feature updated user interfaces, new colour server options and expanded finishing options for signature booklets and complex folding.

The Docucolor 252, 5065 II, 6075 II, and 6075 II Pro are said to provide 2,400 dots per inch (dpi) x 2,400dpi image quality with proprietary 32-laser beam technology that provides line and shadow detail on brochures, posters and personalised marketing material.

Fuji Xerox added that it also offers a selection of four workflow systems, including Freeflow DocuSP colour server, EFI Splash RPX-ii colour server, EFI Fiery bustled controller and the Creo colour server.

The engines are said to offer ease of use, sophisticated colour management tools and support for variable data applications.

The new production finisher is the latest choice offered by Fuji Xerox and includes hole punching, side-stitching and saddle-stitching, as well as V-fold capability, tri-fold and Z-fold capabilities for mailings and an interposer that allows pre-printed material to be incorporated in to print jobs, added the company.
