Gandinnovations will showcase its Jeti 3318 printer at Viscom in Dusseldorf (Germany) from September 29 - October 1.

The printing area of the Jeti 3318, at 3.3 metres, will remain the same but its head carriage will now host 18 Spectra print heads.

The ink designation is three heads per colour, that is said to allow for six-colour combinations.

The Jeti 3318 print speed is claimed to be 51 square metres per hour in best mode and 68 square metres in production mode.

At the forefront of its improvements is the software upgrade, which iss aid to detect if any individual nozzle may be misfiring.

The software will automatically compensate the saturation, safe-guarding the image output.

The safe-proof technology is believed by the company to be the first of its kind in the grand-format inkjet arena.

Also included with the automatic head capping feature is an automated air vacuum system that is said to eliminate manual head wiping.
