Latest Inkjet Printer Detects Nozzles Misfires
Gandinnovations showcased almost its entire line of Jeti printers at Print '05 in Chicago, earning the company's products the nickname 'the workhorses of the industry'.
We were surprised to see that it was delivered in one simple crate with the printer fully assembled inside.
One crate, one fork lift, one technician and the machine was spitting ink within four hours of installation," said Peter Moebius, the founder of Moebius Color.
He continued: "We had a big job to complete for a client and expected from past experience to work in to the weekend.
But, with the speed of the Jeti we were able to wrap the job up in just six hours.
It uses ink more efficiently and the print heads really crank out the work." Peter Moebius attributes his company's ability to grow and keep up production demand by utilising the Jeti 3318's technology.
With the insurance of the production capability, Moebius has more time for personalised customer service.
Moebius added: "The Jeti 3318 is built to perform and it's definitely a workhorse." The Jeti 3318 features an 18-head configuration that enables users to print six colors at 600 dots per inch (dpi), whilst on-site installation and training is included with the purchase of all Jeti printers.
James Gandy, the president of Gandinnovations, said that he and his team of engineers focus on the design of machines from the end user's perspective.
For example, Gandinnovations provides a media roll lifter to help a single operator managing the night shift.
The Jeti 3318 features Spectra print heads equipped with an automated head wiping system, which is claimed to eliminate the need to stop production and manually clean the heads.
It also features technology that compensates for a nozzle that may be misfiring.
For example, if a nozzle misfires, the software will automatically adjust its density to eliminate banding.
Additionally, the software alerts the user of ink nozzle levels and the overall printer status.
The company believes that those features are essential and directly contribute to the machine's high customer satisfaction record.
Within its first two years of business, Gandinnovations has sold more than 200 machines and by the end of summer 2005 it will exceed 300 machines worldwide.
