Gandinnovations has completed research and development of its new white ink and clear varnish applied with the Jeti 3150 UV Flatbed printer and it made its debut at Viscom in Germany.

Harry Gandy, Gandinnovation's chief executive officer of worldwide sales, said: "We feel that Viscom was the right place to give our overseas customers a first look of our new white ink and clear varnish.

White ink is applied under or on top of the image during the printing process and is used to give the Jeti 3150 another dimension." Gandinnovations said that it feels that it can offer its customers the quality they seek to provide their end users with a superior product and its clear varnish is used to make the colours more brilliant, when it is applied to the image after printing is completed.

"It can be applied on to the entire image or just a certain area, highlighting what the user wants his or her customers to see.

We really think our Jeti users will be able to find a use for the clear varnish with every project they complete," added Gandy.

The clear varnish not only highlights an image but also offers protection from the elements offering Jeti users a cheaper alternative to lamination, believes the company.

Along with the Jeti 3150 UV Flatbed, Gandinnovations showcased the Jeti 5000, five-metre solvent printer and the Jeti 3318 with modular backlit camera unit used printing backlit.

The Jeti 3312 dye-sub printer was also displayed with its direct to flag material capabilities.
