Veterans James and Hary Gandy, believe they remain independent through their operation of one of the last privately-owned grand-format printing manufacturing companies.

According to the brothers, whilst other companies have accumulated losses, Gandinnovations is at the top of its game, operating in the black and it has just expanded its manufacturing facility in Canada by 40 per cent.

The company added that printers from around the world are looking to it for their equipment purchases, not only because of the company's Jeti printers' successful sales rate and popularity but they know the investment will enhance their printing opportunities and current operations.

A common attribute printers are looking for is reliability.

Print shops are attracted to the workhorse production achieved by the Jeti, believes the company and users do not need a machine that constantly requires 'tweaking'.

With the Jeti, the company said that it prints repeated images at true production speeds with the operator waiting to either cut the image from the machine or simply send more images to the queue.

In comparison, many other grand-format printer operators are continuously adjusting their printers to maintain quality and production output.

Hary Gandy, chief executive officer of world-wide sales for Gandinnovations, said: "Our software is designed to do the tweaking during set-up.

We want to get it right before production, not during the run." He continued: "Our customers rely on us and know that we're here for the long haul.

We've been in this business for over 25 years.

As a privately owned company we answer to our customers, not a board of directors or stockholders." The high-end grand-format digital printer market is a fast paced niche industry and requires flexibility and constant improvements in hardware and software development to remain competitive, believes Gandinnovations.

The company said that it has responded to those needs quickly by investing profits back in to research and development.

James Gandy, the president of Gandinnovations commented: "We've been able to attract not only the best and the brightest people but a dedicated staff of engineers that continuously improve on our products and build extremely durable printers." The sales, service and support of the Jeti printers is managed through regional offices that run as independent profit centers with each company marketing and servicing the products in a manner most suited to the region.

The company said it it places emphasis on customer service, which gives Jeti owners real value for their investments.
