Grand Format Roll-To-Roll Printer Debut At Ipex 06
Gandinnovations will be exhibiting what it claimed to be the fastest selling grand-format printers in the industry at Ipex 2006 in Birmingham, UK, April 4 - 11.
Gandinnovations will be exhibiting what it claimed to be the fastest selling grand-format printers in the industry at Ipex 2006 in Birmingham, UK, April 4 - 11.
The company's stand hall 9, stand D 50 will feature the debut of the newest addition to the Gandinnovations product line, the Jeti 3324 UV roll-to-roll printer.
The Jeti 3324 UVRTR head carriage hosts 24 Spectra printheads, whilst ink designation is four heads per color, allowing for six-colour combinations.
Its print speed is claimed to be 650 square feet per hour (60 square metres per hour) in best mode and 1,050 square feet per hour (98 square metres per hour) in production mode with claimed 300 dots per inch (dpi) resolution.
The 600dpi option print speeds will begin at 350 square feet per hour (33 square metres per hour) in best mode and 650 square feet per hour (60 square metres per hour) in production mode.
The printer is designed to print on media types such as reinforced vinyl, canvas, paper and virtually any rolled substrates, said the company.
Hary Gandy, Gandinnovations' chief executive officer of worldwide sales, said: "We asked our customers what type of machine they would like to add to the Gandinnovations' printer line and they gave us the answer." The Jeti 3324 UVRTR is claimed to allow users to print at fast speeds without the use of heated mesh plates used to dry solvent inks, he added.
And he continued: "The new Jeti 3324 UVRTR is like a combination of our Jeti 3150 UV flatbed's speed but with the traditional style of our roll-to-roll printer.
The speed is really going to blow people away." The Jeti 3324 UVRTR is available with the 600dpi option, a recent upgrade on all Jeti printers used to produce higher resolution images with the speed of a grand-format printer, said the company.
Also on show at Ipex will be Gandinnovations' Jeti 3318.
The printing area (3.3m) is the same as the traditional Jeti 3312 but its head carriage host 18 Spectra printheads.
The ink designation is three heads per colour, which is said to allow for six-colour combinations.
The Jeti 3318 print speed is claimed to be 485 square feet per hour (51 square metres per hour) in best mode and 780 square feet per hour (72 square metres per hour) in production mode.
The Jeti 3150 UV flatbed pritner will also be showcased.
It is engineered for faster workflow and multiple media applications and it is said to offer a production table that is a sturdy and flat for printing rigid or flexible materials.
The operator can see the media as it prints and may make appropriate adjustments, if needed, during production.
Operators can also adjust and align media with the Jeti's 'pop-up pins' and vacuum bed, which ensures rigid materials will not move.
All the machines will also be exhibited at ISA 2006 in Orlando (USA) from April 6-8 on stand 4032.
