Grand Format Printer Meets Demand For More Speed
Gandinnovations has introduced the new Jeti 5024 UV Roll To Roll 5.1 metre wide (16.8 feet) grand-format printer to world-wide customers due to the popularity of the Jeti 3324 UVRTR.
James Gandy, who owns and operates Gandinnovations with his brother, Hary, said: "Our three-metre roll-to-roll printer is the fastest on the market and the best on the market." The head carriage has 24 Spectra print heads, whilst ink designation is four heads per colour, allowing for six-colour combinations.
The Jeti 3324 UVRTR print speed is claimed to be 650 square feet per hour (60 square metres per hour) in best mode and 1,050 square feet per hour, (98 square metres per hour) in production mode with 300dpi resolution.
With the 600dpi option print speeds are said to begin at 350 square feet per hour (33 squre metres per hour) in best mode and 650 square fet per hour (60 square metres per hour) in production mode.
The Jeti 3324 UVRTR is designed to print on frontlit, backlit, adhesive vinyl and virtually any rolled substrates, claimed the company.
Hary Gandy, Gandinnovations' chief executive officer of worldwide sales, commented: "We are glad we could perfect the Jeti 3324 UVRTR.
As soon as we asked our customers for their opinions, we knew we had to create the next big thing in the Gandinnovations printer line." And he added: "A linear motor using print heads with tracking magnets provides users of the Jeti 3324 UVRTR with incredibly accurate dot placement within a micron.
Other roll-to-roll printers use belts, which are more likely to bounce and create less accurate reproductions." The printer is also fully automated, with an onboard camera used to tune the heads and automatic cleaning and wiping.
Gandinnovations said that the machine's computer interface is comparable to a Macintosh computer system for its relative simplicity.
James Gandy added: "You can walk up to the machine and use it instantly, without any training.
For example, all images RIPped to the printer show up as thumbnails, then operators can drag and drop the files to the layout page where operators can rotate, flip, scale and even collage as many files as they like, which is truly one of the most amazing interfaces in the printer market today.".
