Grand Format Printing For Back-Lit Production
Gandinnovations said it has been working diligently developing new technology for the grand format industry.
The company said it has offered a true 600 dots per inch (dpi) resolution upgrade on all Jeti models, now with further R and D, Gandinnovations claimed it will offer a true 1,200dpi system for all its Jeti 3150 Flatbed and Jeti 3324 UV curable printer models.
The company believes that the Jeti 3150 Flatbed and Jeti 3324 UV series of printers will appeal to customers due to their faster speeds and lower ink cost than the traditional high-resolution machines.
Gandinnovations began using 80 Pico litre (300dpi) Spectra print heads providing what is said to be true 300dpi quality and since has offered 50 (600dpi) Pico litre heads, whilst still offering the options to customers.
Now the company said that customers will have the choice of which resolution is most suitable for their businesses.
The new 1,200dpi option will not increase the price of the Gandinnovations printers but it will give sign producers around the world a better selection.
All Gandinnovations series of solvent printers offer up to 600dpi, added the company.
Hary Gandy, the company's chief executive officer of worldwide sales, commented: "We knew that we had a breakthrough with the true 600dpi resolution but now I know print shops around the world are going to go crazy for a true 1,200dpi grand-format printer." He added: "I kept telling everyone that we give our customers what they ask for.
Well, I stick to my word.
The 1,200dpi UV 3150 Flatbed and Jeti 3324 Jeti series really blows people away in production mode, not to mention 'best' mode." The Jeti 1,200dpi 3150 Flatbed and Jeti 3324 UV is available immediately to world-wide customers and will be showcased at every upcoming tradeshow at which Gandinnovations exhibits, including SGIA 2006 in Las Vegas (USA) on stand 700.
