The latest grand format UV digital printer from Gandinnovations, the Jeti3348 Jetstream UV RTR, is a three-metre roll-to-roll printer with a four-colour configuration.

The Jeti3348 Jetstream UV RTR features 48 (80 picolitre) Spectra print heads and is claimed to be able to operate at 2,500 square feet per hour (232.25 square metres per hour) in two-pass billboard production mode at 300 dots per inch (dpi).

Gandinnovations said that the Jeti3348 Jetstream UV RTR's speed has been tested for acceptance in different applications and on a variety of materials including 100 per cent PE eco-friendly polyethylene.

The Jeti3348 Jetstream UV RTR will also be available with a back-lit option enabling printing on both sides of the material with perfect registration for backlit signage, it is claimed.

Designed for 24-hour, seven days-a-week operation with single operator intervention, the Jeti3348 Jetstream UV RTR is said to be suitable for producing material for outdoor applications, such as billboards and building wraps.

The Jeti3348 Jetstream UV RTR uses Gandinnovations' UV-curable inks that are said to be environmentally friendly and provide a wide colour gamut whilst exhibiting flexibility and adhesion on a variety of materials.

Demonstrations on the Jeti3348 Jetstream UV RTR are currently available at Gandinnovations' headquarters in Mississauga (Canada).
