UV Flatbed Digital Printer Debut At
Drupa 2008
The new Nanojet UV True Flatbed digital printer and Jeti 3348 Jetstream UV RTR digital printer and Jeti 3324 Aquajet Direct-to-Fabric digital printer will be shown by Gandinnovations at Drupa 2008.
The Gandinnvoations stand - A23 in hall 5 - will also feature the company's full Jeti range of grand format digital printers The company said it will unveil the new Nanojet UV True Flatbed digital printer, which is said to use the latest in digital print technology

Grand Format Printing For Back-Lit Production

Equipped with a silicone nozzle plate, the 15 pico litre head is specifically designed to provide high resolution droplets.
Printing at claimed speeds of 220 square foot per hour (20.4 square metres per hour) in photo-realistic mode, the Nanojet has a print area of four feet by eight feet and prints in six colours at 1,200 dots per inch (dpi) using Gandinnovations UV-curable branded inks.

Grand Format Printer Helps Rock Band Roll
Signs On The Go has completed a vehicle wrap for the southern rock 'n' roll band Cowboy Mouth, whose tour bus that will take the group on a six month journey across the United States and Mexico.
The company said that the Nanojet is suitable for any printshop needing to output a high quality product, whilst display printing on glass, acrylics, diobond, aluminum, wood, steel, coroplast, formboard and styrene, for example.
The Jeti3348 Jetstream UV RTR, is a new three metre UV roll-to-roll digital printer, which is claimed to print at speeds of 2,500 squarefeet per hour (230 square metres per hour) in a four-colour configuration and features 48 Spectra printheads.
The new unit uses Gandinnovations' UV-curable branded inks on a variety of materials including 100 per cent PE eco-friendly polyethylene and is said to be suitable for all types of outdoor applications.
Gandinnovations added that the Jeti3348 Jetstream UV RTR will also be available with a back-lit camera option for reverse printing of the material.
The Jeti3348 Jetstream UV RTR is appropriate for producing material for outdoor applications, such as billboards, backlit signage and building wraps.
Demonstrations of the Jeti 3324 Aquajet Direct-to-Fabric digital printer, will take place during the show.
The machine uses Gandinnovations' formulated, Waterbase Dye Dispersed Inks printing in six colours at 400dpi.
The printer is also claimed to create colours that are fade resistant for fabrics, including flag, banner and textile materials.
Hary Gandy, the president of Gandinnovations, commented: "The Jeti 3324 Aquajet now achieves bold, vibrant, solid colours printing direct to all fabrics.
For direct colour, printing to paper first is no longer necessary.
It is single process now, which enables printshops to save time and money." The Jeti 2030 X-2 UV True Flatbed digital printer will also be on show during the event.
Printing at claimed speeds of 1,400 square feet per hour (140 square metres per hour) in billboard production mode, the unit uses 48 Spectra printheads.
The printer has a print area of two metres by three metres equipped with a three zone sectional vacuum table, which holds rigid substrates in place of up to 5cm (2") in thickness.
The Jeti 2030 X-2 UV prints in six colours, or four colours and uses the company's white ink and clear varnish.
Gandinnovations will also demonstrate its Jeti 3324 Solvent RTR digital printer, which is said to be suitable for billboards, building and vehicle wraps.
When printed with the company's branded solvent inks, it offers a 3M performance guarantee.
