GBC Professional has developed further laminating and finishing systems to target market demand for added-value, high quality finished products in the wide-format sector.
The Signmaker is claimed to be suitable for finishing signs, displays, posters, banners, graphics, pop-up and roll-up displays.
Signmaker 25 laminates, coats and mounts prints up to 63.5cm (25") wide, whilst the Signmaker 44 handles prints up to 109.22cm (43") wide, said GBC.
Utilising a front unwind roller, the laminators apply Accushield as well as pressure sensitive films.
With Accushield applications, the laminator's separator bar, in combination with the pull rollers and rewind roller, separates the release liner from the media to leave a clean, professionally finished graphic that does not require additional trimming.
Any excess coating remains on the release liner and is rewound onto the take-up reel at the back of the laminator.
There are no harmful fumes, drying times, and there is no mess involved, said GBC.
The company added that both laminators were developed to offer more efficient, economical results over conventional laminators and liquid laminators when producing and finishing signs, posters, banners, litigation graphics, and POP display graphics.
They can also run GBC's printable laminate, Securfilma, which is said to mount to boards in one pass through the laminator.
Each multi-purpose GBC Signmaker is also designed to run pouch boards.
