GMG is to show a fundamentally revised version of its Colorproof 04 and several new proofing products at Drupa 2004.
With over 20 years' experience of colour management, pre-press and production workflows, Bucher's broad experience of management and training within the digital pre-press sector was consolidated with companies including Maul Belser (one of Europe's largest rotogravure printing houses), Hell, Screen and Scitex, as well as successfully managing his own consultancy firm.
Until recently, he was business development manager at Dalim Software in Germany.
"I was really impressed by the good reputation that GMG has built up in the industry, and that is one reason I wanted to work with them.
The company has strong sales and strong development and my challenge is to deliver strong product management to ensure that GMG continues to expand its offering by supplying solutions that satisfy changing market demands," said Bucher.
"New products like Inkoptimizer and Camflow are already strengthening our ability to supply highly usable and cost-effective proofing with outstanding colour management control to the commercial pre-press market worldwide," he added.
