Creo is providing another choice of software for use with the Veris proofer, with GMG Colorproof 04..

Recently certified by both SWOP and FOGRA, the Veris proofer produces high-resolution contone proofs with the multi-drop array inkjet head.

GMG said its Colorproof 04 software features a high level of automation and seamless integration into different workflow systems.

It includes GMG's Colorengine, Profile Editor, Spotcolor Editor and RIP Server.

The core element is the 4-D color-transformation engine that assures the highest possible contract proof quality on a variety of output devices said GMG.

Jawdatt Mawassii, vice president of business development at GMG said: "This development supports our companies' mutual vision of providing excellent solutions for the quality-conscious contract proofing market." And Brad Palmer, Creo's corporate vice president for inkjet printing added: "GMG has more than a decade of experience driving Creo Iris proofers.

This development allows Iris users in Europe, who have come to trust and rely on GMG Colorproof software, to move to the next generation of Creo proofers with the same software.

They will also appreciate that Veris proofs match the look and feel of Iris proofs, but with improved image quality and color precision." Previous versions of the software may be offered as trade-in on GMG Colorproof 04 software.
