GMG boosted its sales in 2005 by well over 50 per cent compared to 2004, a year in which sales had already risen by more than 50 per cent compared to the previous year.

GMG boosted its sales in 2005 by well over 50 per cent compared to 2004, a year in which sales had already risen by more than 50 per cent compared to the previous year.

The supplier of high-end colour management and proofing systems said that the German-speaking countries again showed pleasing development in 2005 and continue to be GMG's largest single market.

Other international markets demonstrated above-proportional growth, now accounting for almost two-thirds of total sales.

Many countries, such as the UK, Spain, France and Italy, are recording sales growth of up to 100 per cent, said GMG.

Expansion of over 100 per cent was again achieved in the USA and parts of Asia.

GMG opened branches in Denmark and Japan in 2005, and is now represented by its own sales offices not only in Germany, but also in the UK, Spain, France, Benelux, Nordic, the USA, and Asia.

Growth was also partly attributable to further expansion of distribution activities in almost all regions, added the company.

Robert Weihing, the managing director of GMG, said: "We are naturally very pleased with this development, which exceeded our optimistic expectations by far.

It has become clear that we have been very successful in consistently transferring our many years of success in Germany to other countries, and that our efforts have rapidly borne fruit.

We will pursue this approach steadily and continue to market the strengths of GMG technology worldwide.".
