Trialling Colour Management Online With
Print Jobs
Colour management and proofing systems can be trialled via the internet as GMG's Colorserver can be tested so user can understand its benefits.
According to GMG, Colorserver can be used in multiple environments and different applications throughout the graphics arts industry Robert Weihing, chief executive officer of GMG, said: "The idea is that we offer all potential customers within the graphics arts industry the possibility to test Colorserver via the web in an easy way to make their first experience with a real job and to see the benefits of the system first hand." He added that all interested users have the possibility to upload a file via the GMG web tool so that Colorserver can process the file in the background automatically

GMG, the colour management and proofing specialist has signed a worldwide licensing agreement with Pantone to include the official Pantone Lab values in GMG products.
The trial user will then be informed via email that the processed file is ready for download.
Colorserver's functions include RGB to CMYK separation, as well as separations from Adobe RGB to ISOcoated_v2 (Fogra39L), from ECI-RGB to ISOcoated_v2 (Fogra39L) and from sRGB to ISOcoated_v2 (Fogra39L), each with Inklimits of 330 per cent.
It also allows CMYK to CMYK reseparation, including CMYK from ISOcoated_v2 (Fogra39L) with an Inklimit of 300 per cent, CMYK from ISOcoated_v2 (Fogra39L) with an Inklimit of 330 per cent, CMYK from ISOwebcoated (Fogra28L) with an Inklimit of 280 per cent and CMYK from ISOwebcoated (Fogra28L) with an InkLimit of 300 per cent.
Colorserver will also perform CMYK to CMYK conversion - from ISOcoated to ISOcoated_v2 with an Inklimit of 330 per cent, from ISOcoated_v2 to ISOwebcoated (Fogra28L) with an Inklimit of 280 per cent, from ISOcoated_v2 to PSR-LWC with an Inklimt of 360 per cent and conversion from ISOcoated_v2 to ISO-Newspaper with an Inklimt of 240 per cent.
