Pantone Colours Embedded In Proofing Systems
GMG, the colour management and proofing specialist has signed a worldwide licensing agreement with Pantone to include the official Pantone Lab values in GMG products.
GMG said that its colour management and proofing functions can be integrated in to existing workflows and browser-based remote proofing and colour management is also possible.
Connect can also provide integration of the GMG colour management products, Colorserver and Inkoptimizer, in to Dalim's Twist workflow system, which is described as a fully-automatic pre-media job processing system, designed to streamline the creation of a variety of file types, as well as automate internal production workflow processes.
Dalim Software, supplier of production, workflow and communication software for the publications and graphics arts industries, offers for this purpose the plug-in GMG-Link.
It is said to allow for direct access to GMG's Flowconnect out of Dalim's Twist via a JDF-interface.
Flowconnect is the interface for linking GMG's Connect to external systems.
The module permits the utilisation of any desired XML formats for bi-directional machine-to-machine communication.
It offers flexible configuration options, making it possible to meet a range of requirements, said Dalim.
Processing parameters for colour conversions can be chosen directly in Twist.
Status information from Connect is also displayed immediately, so the administration of the workflow process is simplified as all status information is visible on the same user interface.
Robert Weihing, GMG's chief executive officer, said: "Increasing networking and automation of the production environment is leading to growing demand for a networked, centrally controllable colour management system in which all process progress can be monitored at all times.
The integration of our proofing and colour management products in to established workflow systems for networked and standardised production has top priority.
We are pleased that together with Dalim Software we can offer our customers optimal colour management systems.".
