Gemba Solutions has claimed that it has developed a solution to the problems of assessing new software from the plethora of alternatives with its new Interactive Web Demo facility.

Gemba Solutions has claimed that it has developed a solution to the problems of assessing new software from the plethora of alternatives and due to lack of time, with its new Interactive Web Demo facility.

Potential users can sit at their desks and connect via the internet to Gemba's live demonstration, which enables the company's sales staff to carry out the demonstration in the Gemba offices, whilst users see every screen and every click of the mouse on their own PCs.

At the same time, Gemba will talk users through the demonstration over the phone, allowing users to ask questions and have different apsects of the demonstration repeated, for instance.

Gemba said that because its staff work at the users' pace, the demonstrations can be as brief or as detailed as users need and their colleagues can even take part in the session, either in one office, or from their own offices.

Commenting on the new service, Geoff Tripp, Gemba's sales and marketing director said: "We appreciate that our customers are busy people and we're constantly striving to make life easier for them.

We've been offering demo CDs and web downloads for years but realise that those options don't suit everyone.

We've already had a great response from companies who've used the web demo service to look at our lean manufacturing software - we recently carried out a demo for a potential client whose staff simultaneously connected from offices in Mexico, Malaysia and the USA.".
