In response to climbing demand, G I Direct has set up a new mail enclosing facility at the Hamilton Industrial estate, Leicester (UK).

In response to climbing demand, G I Direct has set up a new mail enclosing facility at the Hamilton Industrial estate, Leicester (UK).

The new site is said to provide security for sensitive transactional and marketing mail and expands the company's production and office capacity.

The 2,000 square metre enclosing facility houses a production plant with five machines claimed to be capable of producing over three million mailing packs per week on a three shift basis.

The production lines are all fitted with the latest computer scheduling and data collection systems, said G I Direct.

The facility also offers the capability to tip on items using a maverick feeder system, added the company.

That is suitable for feeding credit card sized cards and hotmelt gluing them to other enclosures.

To manage distribution, the site also incorporates a warehouse and storage area, which can store up to 1,000 pallets in a new racking system.

Patrick Headley, sales director at G I Direct, commented: "G I Direct has seen substantial revenue growth in the last two years and increasingly this is coming from clients who want full-service opttions.

For print production services, therefore, we match our sophisticated in-line personalised print capabilities with similarly powerful enclosing - with our capacity now doubled with our new Hamilton site."
